Welcome to Mysteria
I just finished Mysteria Lane. It is the sequel to Mysteria, for those of you who haven't indulged in this series let me just say this world is a ton of fun. Mysteria is a small town that was "accidentally" founded by an act of demonic kindness. Many magical creatures live in Mysteria; werewolves, vampires, witches, demons, fairies, you name it. At the town's center is a magical wishing fountain. It is written as an anthology, but unlike the ones you are used to with a vague theme pulling random stories together, these stories are all about the same town and the characters flow back and forth smoothly between the stories. Think Ray Bradbury's Illustrated Man or John Saul's Blackstone Chronicles. The same four amazingly talented authors write both books; Mary Janice Davidson, Susan Grant, Gena Showalter and P.C. Cast. With a group like this you can't help but fall in love with this town and its people and beg the authors for a part three to this series. The stories are passionate and quirky, full of life and love. This is a delightful series that I highly recommend.
